AdStage is Acquired by TapClicks

TapClicks Acquires AdStage

Bravo to Founder/CEO Sahil Jain.

I have been tracking this business since their 2014 private beta launch – a copy of the 2014 Email thread with Sahil below.

Happy to chat in person CEO-to-CEO, founder-to-founder, but I’m done on email Sahil – with or without CC’s.

I’m out your way a good bit – will ping on my next sojourn.

In 2011 we were a Top-50 Google advertiser – things have shifted since then.

Cheers.

Thanks for the kind words, Sean. We're doing our best. We have a long way to go, but our goal is to create a platform that is simple but also educates our users on how to become even better at online advertising across different networks. We have a lot of initiatives in the works to pull this off.

Can't wait to have you give our platform a go.

Also, out of curiosity, can you fill us in on what networks you currently advertise on and perhaps an average monthly spend (approximation is totally fine). This way we can potentially even get you in earlier.

Best,

Sahil

Hey Sean,

We apologize for the delay. The holidays slowed things up a bit. We have started inviting businesses in waves but as it is a beta, we encounter issues we prefer to fix before inviting larger waves.

We're close to opening the gates to a much larger audience. We're doing our best and I assure you we are working on delivering it soon to the next batch of invites.

I've added Sam to cc who can add you to our priority list.

Thanks,

Sahil

TapClicks | AdStage

Sahil here from AdStage. Today, I am excited to announce that AdStage has been acquired by TapClicks!

First, to our customers, AdStage will continue to operate normally but now with more resources than we’ve ever had to take our products and technology to the next level. We’ll have some exciting new offers specifically for AdStage customers to follow in the coming days.

Second, to our partners, we would not have made it to where we are without standing on the shoulders of giants that we built incredibly strong partnerships and relationships with. We were fortunate to partner with some of the world’s largest technology companies in meaningful ways that accelerated our business dramatically. We look forward to reaching out to all of you in the next few days to show you what AdStage + TapClicks means for our businesses, product roadmaps, and most importantly, our joint customers.

Third, the AdStage team has joined TapClicks to lead its efforts around Marketing Intelligence, which includes extending the AdStage product suite by building even more technology around insights, recommendations, forecasting, and the ability to take action on one’s data. With access to over 200 data sources through TapClicks, AdStage products will deliver tremendous value to marketers at both brands and agencies who crunch critical marketing data from a few to hundreds of sources and systems.

Jason and I founded AdStage back in 2012 with a mission to help marketers understand every $1 spent and enable them to spend the next $1 effectively on channels that truly perform well. This is a mission that has not changed and is one that TapClicks shares, which made the joining of forces obvious and powerful.

Over the course of nearly 8 years, we employed over 70 amazing teammates in San Francisco, had thousands of customers relying on our products daily, had over $1B annually of marketing spend flowing through our platform, spoke at over 100 events globally, and raised over $15MM from top-tier supporters like Verizon Ventures, Freestyle Capital, Forte Ventures, and more. We are incredibly thankful to everyone who has joined us on this journey.

We are thankful to the TapClicks team for believing in our shared vision.  This acquisition allows us to deliver more incredible experiences and a dramatically expanded toolset for our shared customers.

We’re already hard at work on what’s next for our products, technology, and business. Stay tuned here on the AdStage blog for more in the coming months!
