📈 2022 Growth Strategy with Elle Griffin
"My goal is to write ‘The Novelleist’ full-time by the end of 2023 by reaching 2,000 annual subscribers and earning $100,000 in annual revenue. This is an ambitious goal but I have every reason to think it is feasible." - Elle Griffin
Elle Griffin knows a lot about the publishing industry. As a fiction writer working on her second novel, she methodically surveyed the landscape and made endless inquiries to publishers. Along the way, she learned some cold truths about writing books. In early 2021, she eschewed the publishing route entirely and created a platform for her writing. In launching her newsletter ‘The Novelleist.’
A year into publishing, she continues to be methodical in analysing the success of her creative work and plotting its growth. On the Newsletter Crew blog she goes into detail on her learnings, her strategy moving forward, and the tactical plays she plans to make to reach those magic numbers.
🛠 Built by the Crew: Falak Sher's ad booking system
We love seeing newsletter people building solutions for newsletter people. Don't you? This is not an ad, we're just super proud of our members!
It wouldn't be the first time that Newsletter Crew member Falak Sher has risen to the challenge. Last year he worked with some of our members to create more ease in their ad booking process. Now he has just launched a resource on how to set up your own ad booking sheet and benefit from the system he has used to book $10,000 in sponsorship revenue.

From the pressures of algorithmic changes, making a living, and hamster wheel effects, burnout has become more than a threat for creators. For many it is reality. But perhaps creators need not despair. Read Peter's take on the function of community.
